About HolisticalVets LLC

We created HolisticalVets LLC to bring holistic treatment options, Quality of Life consultations, and in-home euthanasia services to pets in Monmouth County, Ocean County, Burlington County, Cumberland County, Atlantic County, and Cape May County in New Jersey without having to deal with the usually hectic schedules seen at regular brick and mortar veterinary clinics (back-to-back 15 minute appointments seriously gives us nightmares).

Our goal is to place the focus back on your pet, make him or her the center of our attention, and provide the additional time that he or she may need… whether that’s extra time to help reduce anxiety and help your pet get comfortable or extra time to give hugs, pets, and cuddles. Definitely some nose boops too.

We want to help animals in an environment they feel comfortable and safe in, which is why we decided to focus on being mobile. In addition, we also wanted to be able to devote 1-2 hours of in-person time with your pet since less time spent focusing on the clock means more time putting the focus on where it should be: your pet.

We also wanted to help animals regardless of their species. We spent years gaining additional experience with various species, including exotic species, birds, wildlife, and zoo animals, and apparently our favorite species to spend time with is… all of them. 😊😂

“Holism/holistic” starts from within, so we just want to increase all the good stuff that focuses more on the “within” and helps us do our job better, while decreasing all the stuff that takes away from that.

In order to accomplish those goals, in addition to the 8 years of schooling required to become a veterinarian, we also underwent countless hours of additional training and education to become proficient in veterinary acupuncture, Tui-na, food therapy, and herbal therapy.

We’ve obtained certifications in veterinary acupuncture (CVA) and food therapy (CVFT)… and certifications in Tui-na and herbal therapy are coming soon. When it comes to our in-home pet euthanasia services, above all else, we prioritize the comfort and peace of the pet and have completed additional post-graduate euthanasia education and training via CAETA (Companion Animal Euthanasia Training Academy) to make the process as peaceful as possible for everyone involved.  We’re also Fear Free certified, which means we underwent further education to learn how to minimize fear, anxiety, or stress a pet may feel, and we’re members of AHVMA (American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association), AAVA (American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture), and AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association).  As you can see, we’re dedicated to our patients and attention on your pet begins long before we even meet him or her and we wouldn’t want it any other way. Thank you so much for reading! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@holisticalvets.com. You can always join us on Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and/or Facebook! We look forward to hearing from you!

The belief that pets benefit from a balanced approach when holistic and conventional medicine are used together, as one form of medicine does not replace the other.

The tremendous importance of pet owners having the information they need to make informed decisions about what is best for them and their pets.

Tui-na for pets of all species? Check!
….and food and herbal therapies for dogs, cats, and horses? Check!

Beyond, and in some cases, surpassing roadblocks and dead ends experienced with conventional medicine, evidence-based holistic modalities provide additional options to help treat cherished pets. The amazing thing? Holistic medicine can also be used to help reduce the risk of disease/illness occurring in the first place and isn’t only used when pets are sick!

4. Our advanced euthanasia training enables us to provide a personalized approach that sets us apart from other pet euthanasia providers.

When it’s time to make that incredibly hard decision, we prioritize everything we offer with your pet in mind to fill those last precious moments with peace and comfort. We also go beyond by creating customizable pet memorial keepsakes that hold profound significance and are thoughtfully designed to capture the unique characteristics of your pet, which are then gifted to you to help you cherish and remember him or her forever.
